School Policies
At Dishaa, our policies are designed to create a safe, respectful, and nurturing Montessori environment for every child. We believe that clear guidelines help support harmony between home and school, ensuring each child’s developmental journey is meaningful and joyful.
1. Montessori Philosophy & Discipline

Dishaa follows the Montessori Philosophy, which emphasizes self-discipline and natural respect for oneself, others, work, and time. These qualities are cultivated through freedom, responsibility, and meaningful engagement not through external control.

We follow a No Punishment Policy.
Instead, we use positive reinforcement and gentle guidance to support the child’s growth.

If behavioral concerns persist, parents will be invited for a meeting to discuss the situation and decide on next steps collaboratively.
2. Dress Code

There is no prescribed uniform at Dishaa.
Children are welcome to come in comfortable, everyday clothing.

Encouraging children to choose their own outfits supports independence and self-expressioncore elements of the Montessori approach.
3. Birthday Celebrations

We are delighted to help make your child’s birthday special.

If you wish to celebrate at school, please inform us a few days in advance.
While we do not encourage take-home return gifts, families are welcome to donate a book for the school library, which all children can enjoy. This is entirely optional.
4. Attendance & Leave

If your child will be absent for an extended period:

-
Please inform the school in advance through a written leave request.
-
For unexpected absences, notify the school as soon as possible before your child returns.
Regular attendance helps maintain consistency and supports your child’s progress.
5. Health & Safety

To ensure the well-being of all children:

-
Please keep your child at home if they are unwell.
-
A child may return to school only after all symptoms have resolved.
-
If a child falls sick or is injured at school, parents will be contacted immediately.
Basic first aid will be provided, but no medication will be administered at school.
Parents must keep the school updated with any changes in contact or emergency phone numbers.
6. Admissions & Fee Policy

Admissions are open year-round, subject to seat availability.

-
Children may join the program once they turn 2.6 years of age.
-
Fees are charged from the date the child begins attending school.
-
For children enrolling at the start of the academic cycle, fees for 12 months must be paid at the beginning of the year.
The management reserves the right to review and revise the fee structure at the end of each year

Creating a Supportive Partnership
These policies are designed to maintain a peaceful, respectful, and supportive learning environment. We thank parents for partnering with us in nurturing independence, confidence, and joy in every child.
