About Dishaa
We believe and follow every child
At Dishaa
Children learn the value of independence along with qualities such as peace and self-respect. We place equal emphasis on developing appropriate social behavior and nurturing core values like kindness, compassion, courage, and responsibility.
Children at Dishaa learn that humans are just one part of the larger natural world and begin to understand the importance of living in harmony with the environment.

The Montessori Method
Every element of the Montessori Method is designed to respond to the child’s natural, innate tendencies. Children quickly form communities, expressing concern, affection, and empathy with ease. They willingly share, communicate openly, and take joy in learning together.
Founded with Love, Built on Experience
Founded in 2007 by passionate Montessorians Dharini Srinivasan and Geetha S. Nityananda, Dishaa was created as a space where children can grow into confident, compassionate individuals through respect, freedom, and gentle guidance.
From a single classroom, Dishaa has grown into a warm community that has nurtured over 500 children in their early years. Dharini and Geetha bring decades of Montessori experience, deep expertise in inclusive education, and a shared commitment to honoring each child’s natural pace of development.
At Dishaa, childhood is celebrated, individuality is respected, and every child is supported in becoming their best self.

Meet Our Team

Our Teachers and every other adult who is a part of the school is the most important link between the Method, the Philosophy and the Child and His / Her family. It's always been important to us to hire a qualified IMC or AMI trained Montessori Adult who has the right approach, the willingness to learn the finer points and who has the Child's best interest at heart. Every member of our Team is important and appreciated.
The Montessori Philosophy at Dishaa

Following the Child
In Montessori education, every child is seen as unique. The adult carefully observes each child’s interests, learning style, and developmental needs, and adapts the pace and focus of lessons accordingly. This is why we say the adult follows the child.
Here, the child, not the adult, is at the center of the learning process. This respectful approach allows children to explore freely, learn deeply, and grow into independent, confident individuals.

Our Approach & Culture

Rooted in Deep Respect for Childhood
At Dishaa, we slow down to the child’s pace, honour the unique needs of this developmental stage, and work closely with parents to help them attune more deeply to their child’s growth. This three-way partnership between the school, the child, and the family forms the foundation for meaningful, joyful, and positive early learning experiences.

Learning Through Nature
Children engage closely with the natural world through our vegetable garden, where they plant, care for, and observe their own saplings. These hands-on experiences help them understand their place in nature and the importance of living in harmony with the environment. Through nature study, children develop awareness beyond their immediate surroundings, learning to appreciate diversity, value differences, and build a strong sense of social and environmental responsibility.
