Why Our Pre-Primary Environment Matters
Dr. Maria Montessori believed that the environment shapes the child. The Pre-Primary space is carefully designed to nurture independence, curiosity, and a sense of community. The mixed age group (2.6 to 6 years) reflects real society — where different personalities and abilities grow together. Here, children are free to move, observe, question, and learn at their own pace, developing confidence and readiness for the world beyond the classroom.

Curriculum
Exercises of Practical Life
Activities help children overcome natural helplessness and interact effectively with their environment. Tasks like pouring, tying shoelaces, and buttoning develop concentration, coordination and independence.
Sensorial Awareness
Establishes connection between child and material world by providing experiential information about innate differences in every object. Refines all five senses through specially designed materials.
Arithmetic
Fulfills need to quantify and compare numbers and objects. Mathematical concepts taught through sensorial materials, gradually moving from concrete manipulations to abstract applications.
Language
Taught using phonetic approach. Reading and writing introduced through tracing letters, hearing sounds, and ultimately writing when muscles are ready for pencil-hold.
Culture
Physical geography explores outward appearance of environment. Cultural geography looks at humankind's ability to "continue the work of creation" as Maria Montessori described.
