DHIIRA – Elementary Program (Grades 1–5)

As the child moves from the Absorbent Mind of the 3–6 years phase to the Reasoning Mind of the 6–12 years phase, they develop an insatiable curiosity and a powerful imagination. These qualities inspire them to question, explore, and make sense of the world even concepts that many consider complex:

the mysteries of nature
the interconnectedness of life
patterns in mathematics
the origins of language

In Montessori Elementary, learning expands from the macrocosm to the microcosm, allowing children to understand the universe first as a whole and then in its beautiful details.

The Elementary Montessori program is a truly unique learning experience that supports not just academic growth but the holistic development of the child. This is not a buzzword for us Montessori deeply understands the profound changes a child undergoes around the age of six: psychological, emotional, social, physical, and intellectual.

Beyond Traditional Education

Traditional education often focuses on filling a child’s mind with information to be recalled for examinations. The Montessori Elementary approach goes far beyond this.It lights a fire within the child one that continues to burn long after their school years.

The Elementary program at DHIIRA, established in June 2021, has grown into a vibrant and nurturing learning space. With intentionally small group sizes, children are supported in staying true to themselves while developing empathy, cooperation, and an appreciation for others.

Eligibility

Children 6+ years who have completed a Montessori Pre-Primary program are eligible to apply.
Also - Parents exploring an alternate learning approach for children without prior Montessori experience are welcome to visit and understand our philosophy.

Grades Offered

DHIIRA’s Elementary Montessori curriculum spans from Grades 1–5.
Currently, we offer the program up to Grade 3, and families interested in continuing to higher grades are welcome to do so as the program grows.

DHIIRA operates as a Homeschooling Program, but in practice holidays, subjects, timing, and the learning day it functions very much like a regular school.
