The Montessori Philosophy celebrates and seeks to instill self-discipline. Respect for self, others, work and time cannot be forced and is natural to children. We follow a strict No Punishment policy and find that positive reinforcements bear better results. If a disciplinary problem persists, parents will be called for a meeting and further action mutually decided upon.
There is no prescribed uniform and children can come in civil/ordinary clothes. In fact, we encourage children to choose what they wear as it is an expression of independent thinking.
We are happy to make your child’s birthday special. If you choose to celebrate it at school, please inform us a few days prior to the day. We do not encourage take-home gifts for individual children but welcome books for the school library for all the children’s use. This alternative to a return gift is completely optional.
If your child is not able to attend school for a period of time, the school must be informed in advance through an application for leave. If the circumstances for absence are unexpected, the school must me notified when possible before the child returns to school.
Parents are requested to keep their ward at home when they are unwell. The child should attend school only after all symptoms of sickness have disappeared.
If a child falls ill during school hours or has an accident, parents will be notified immediately. Parents are requested to keep the school informed of any changes in contact/emergency numbers. While basic first aid will be provided, no medication will be administered.
Applications for admission are accepted year-round based on availability. Children will be enrolled in the programme as they turns 2 or 2.6 years. Fees will be charged from the time they join. School fees must be paid in the beginning of the year for a 12 month period for children enrolling in the beginning of the academic year. The management reserves the right to review school fees at the end of each year and amend it accordingly.
